A New Centre for Lewisham

Together, we have the opportunity to create something special in Lewisham.

A new green district with a family park and wild meadow at its heart, sat on the rooftop of the new Lewisham Shopping Centre. Buzzing with places to gather, shop, play, eat, sing, dance, relax, live, and work. Providing thousands of much-needed homes and jobs, and pumping £160m into the local economy every year.

Almost half of the new district will be open, public, green space with over 300 new mature trees, thousands of plants and shrubs, three public squares and much-needed community facilities. A new pedestrianised street will run all the way through the district from the ground to the upper levels, filled with independent food and drink outlets that will flow onto the lush park and meadow, open all day and into the night. Al fresco dining, public events and social gathering will all be in the melting pot of this new centre for Lewisham which will also be home for thousands of people.

Final designs have been shaped in consultation with local people, with thousands visiting the dedicated No.25 consultation hub inside Lewisham Shopping Centre over the past three years. Donate a gift to the Giving Tree this Christmas

Brighten someone’s Christmas

The Giving Tree has returned! This festive season, we are collaborating with The Salvation Army and The Bank of Things to collect presents for deserving young children in Lewisham.

Our very special charity partners will work hard to brighten up Christmas for those in need. The Salvation Army works to serve the local community and The Bank of Things aims to combat poverty and the lack of resources for young people in Lewisham.

You’ll find our Giving Tree in Central Square. All you need to do is pick a tag from the tree, buy a gift from one of our stores, then drop it off at the tree unwrapped. Please buy and donate thoughtful gifts, such as books, toys, or craft packs.

The Giving Tree will run from Saturday 16th November until Thursday 2nd January. Donate a gift today and make someone's Christmas extra special this year.
