The Bank of Things is now open
The Bank of Things is a charitable initiative by Young Mayors Project and Lewisham Local and aims to combat poverty and the lack of resources for young people in Lewisham.
At the bank, young people can collect personal items, including deodorant, shampoo, shower gel and toothpaste, as well as essential school equipment. The bank is open for young people to pick up items every Monday and Wednesday during term time, from 4-7pm.
Donations and volunteers are welcome - if you’d like to donate, you can drop off items using the donation bins at the bank in our shopping centre. If you’d like to make a financial contribution to the bank, please click here.
For information on volunteering at the bank, please email hannah@lewishamlocal.com.
At the bank, you can also speak to the Baseline team who can share advice on employment for young people. Chat to the team to find out more about college courses, apprenticeships, traineeships, volunteering and other opportunities, as well as upcoming employability workshops and events.
The team will be at Unit 19, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.
