From the 19th July, it is expected that anyone visiting Lewisham Shopping Centre will wear a face covering, unless they are exempt. Our teams will also continue to wear face coverings, unless exempt, to protect those around them.
As of July 19th 2021 there will be some changes here. These changes include the removal of the one-way system and the returning of capacity levels to what they were pre-Covid.
In this time of change, we ask that everyone visiting Lewisham Shopping Centre treats fellow guests and staff with respect and gives each other a little bit of extra space as we all get used to this more relaxed approach.
The pandemic has been an incredibly difficult time for many people and our outlook is one of positivity and excitement as we welcome back guests into a safe, fully reopened Lewisham!
Our teams are on hand to keep everyone safe – please treat them with respect. We will not hesitate in asking people to leave the centre if they are abusive towards our staff.
Good hand hygiene
While visiting Lewisham Shopping Centre, we would appreciate it if you could regularly sanitise or wash your hands to keep yourself and others safe.
You will find hand sanitiser at regular points around the centre and hand washing facilities are available in the centre toilets.
Our teams continue to work hard to ensure all our guests feel safe when they visit Lewisham Shopping Centre. That means we’ll continue to maintain the cleaning regimes we’ve had in place throughout the pandemic.

Will centre staff be wearing face covering?
The safety of everyone who comes into the centre is our number one priority and we have provided our teams with face coverings. They will continue to wear them indoors to keep those around them safe.
Do all visitors have to wear a face covering, even in open outdoor spaces?

How will you stop an outbreak of Covid if all the rules are being relaxed?
Our teams continue to work hard to ensure all our guests feel safe when they visit. That means we’ll continue to maintain the cleaning regimes we’ve had in place throughout the pandemic, and we’ll continue to make hand sanitisers available to all our guests. It’s important to note, that our covid risk assessment remains in place, and we will continue to follow all the necessary guidance.
Do you have any plans to change opening hours to prevent overcrowding?
No, however we encourage all guests to visit our website and check with individual stores before setting off, as times may vary. We would also suggest that people visit during quieter periods – we’ll be promoting these through our digital channels.
At Lewisham typically our quieter times are mornings, and late afternoons into the evening.
Are you changing centre capacity?
Yes, with social distancing guidance being lifted we will be reverting to the capacity levels we have prior to Covid.
Will staff be tested before being allowed to work with the public?
No, as this is not a Government requirement. However our teams are incredibly experienced in keeping our centre safe and clean and are well versed in managing the re-opening of non-essential retail. Should any of our staff show Covid-19 symptoms, then we will be asking them to self-isolate and follow Government guidelines.
Why are certain brands shut? Have they had a case?
This is a question for the brand – we’re not able to answer on their behalf.
I forgot my face covering. What now?
We have a very limited number of face coverings that we can supply to guests in an urgent situation. We strongly advise guests to ensure they have their mask with them before they travel to Lewisham Shopping.

Is cash being accepted at stores or will it be card payment only?
Please check with our individual retailers, however, we expect many shops to accept card payment only and you should be prepared to pay by card.
Will there be a limit to how long I can spend in the centre?
No limits will be applied to the amount of time you are able to spend in the centre.
Are all the toilets open?
The toilets are open, and access may be restricted to queuing in order to maintain capacity to achieve social distancing. Alternate cubicle and or urinals may be closed off to maintain social distancing. Please adhere to social distancing guidelines and instructions displayed.
Will all the baby feeding and changing facilities be open?
Baby changing area is open.
How do I pay for parking?
Automated Pay Stations are available on Parking levels 1 – 4. Please use a card to pay for your parking.
Will there be any changes to the lifts?
Lift access will be subject to social distancing guidelines.
Is there any change to the local buses/ park and ride?
There are no change to local buses and rail links to Lewisham. However, some services may not be running to full capacity and social distancing will apply. Please see TFL.GOV.UK for further information.

We will be able to assist members of the public who identify themselves or notify us in advance. Please contact a member of our security team or call us on 020 8 852 0094. For assistance with access to a specific store please contact the appropriate store directly.
I can't stand for long periods, what support is available to me in the centre and in the queue?
We would prefer that our customers do not use the public seating area in the centre. However, we do understand that sometimes there is a need for our customers to have a rest. We would ask that our customers use the seat for a short rest so as not prolong their stay on the seating area. All seating will be subject to social distancing guidelines.
